r e n e g a d e . w e e k e n d

as if you didn't know, i nearly had a coronary trying to balance my day job and preparing for renegade - but i did & i made it - lucky for me i had the help of my wonderful boothmate, lydia of pierogi picnic, my honey bunny, andrew, my pops, we'll call him dad ;) and my sister, calli. and so, with their help, i managed to make it through the weekend with very few hiccups and a heaping full of success!

looking back on the weekend now, i sure wish i would have taken more pictures. but our booth was always packed full of great people. these pictures were taken right before the show began on saturday morning. and even before we opened we had people stopping by - it was wonderful!

lydia and i decided from the get-go that we wanted to design our booth so it would feel like a little shoppe or a boutique that you could walk right into and feel welcomed. i really think we achieved that. we kept the inside totally clear and tried to stick to putting chests and benches around the outside of the space so people could easily browse. boy am i sure glad we did that because not only did it look fabulous but we seriously needed the extra space for visitors - the booth was almost never empty and always packed.

in the second picture {and third}, that wooden display is something my dad and i designed and put together. we actually had a few requests to purchase them at the fair so we might start selling them online. the wood we salvaged from friends and neighbors; it was basically just from scrap crates. the knobs were a great find because they look pretty like the ones that anthropologie has but for way less of a price tag at the wonderful hobby lobby.

that last picture is of the craft party project lydia and i did with the help of the wonderful andrew :) it was actually part of a martha stewart diy that was super easy. it's just made from some old newspaper and some thread. oh, that martha!

and how about those sweet little petticoats that lydia makes out of vintage slips and pretty ruffles?! they were so fun and lovely! it was so nice to have her there - i never in a million years would have imagined such a wonderful marriage of our personalities and our brands. it was so much fun bouncing ideas off of each other, hosting crafting parties and browsing the fair with her! i can't wait until next time!

thanks to everyone that came and stopped by our booth to say hello!!
