chicago randolph street market :: photo diary

i had such an amazing time at the randolph street market this past weekend! my friend jodie had never been before so i brought her along. we had such a blast getting lost in all the vendor booths - uncovering lost treasures and oddities of the past. the weather was beautiful and we sipped on the best mint tea i have ever sipped before. it was heaven. we both ended up leaving with items too which is always a wonderful thing. i picked up a west african nail bracelet and an adorable vintage dress from the 40s. i wanted to buy so much more! jodie picked up a really lovely antique suitcase.

i have to say that this was my first time going this season and the quality of the items that i found there this time were above and beyond what i've seen in the past. not sure if they've been introducing new vendors or what  - but it was hey-mazing!! from stuffed peacocks, boats, victrola phonographs, rock 'em sock 'em robots, bohemian textiles, anatomical figures, microscopes, ballet slippers, gold ghost chairs, an adorable mouse pick cheese server - wow! it sure was a sight to behold!

if you missed this one - you'd better make sure to hit up the next one on july 28 & 29!!
