i came across marta's artwork the other day and was delighted by her bold use of colors and sharp angles. i want a tattoo of that tiger and the bear with the tattoos is just icing on the cake.

marni foulard winter edition 2012 :: campaign

so i cannot tell which i am loving more :: the campaign or the clothes. in a clever rockabilly//pin-up paperdoll -esque styling, the adorable model is photographed in a series of undressing and redressing stages, while going through the each item in the collection. it is truly creative and utterly whimsical. same being said for the collection as well. 

the collection itself has a very ray and charles eames playland type feel. fun turtlenecks are adorned with primitive sketches sneaking in little pops of color. the other items boast geometric patterns that aren't too stuffy since the lines are being offset by bold, warm colors.

i stumbled upon the blue rabbit house and was so delighted to find embroidery, sketchbooks, knitting and bunnies! the thing i probably loved most though was the illustrations. i absolutely love the sweet little frames around the drawings. i would definitely get a tattoo of any of these.

i have been really sick since yesterday. 

so to take my mind off of the unpleasantness 

i was experiencing, i surfed around my old bookmarks 

for a while. for some reason, i had completely forgotten about 

one of my all-time favorite illustrators: kris atomic. 

she has been experimenting with some new tools as 

of late and i am loving the slightly different look. 

it's a bit more moody and intricate - absolutely 

perfect to get me in the mood for some 

cooler weather and colorful leaves.

i am finally finished editing and painting this piece and now i am pretty sure that i am close to losing my eyesight

some of the color is finally done and with little time, energy and resources...phew! i think i definitely like the first one more.
