in my studio

i have been sitting on so many lovely images since buying a professional camera. it's practically loveliness overload because i can never decide which photos to select, edit and post. but these are clear winners. it's basically of the moodboard above my work desk as well as a lovely plate from anthro that i use to collect jewelry.

i'll point out some bits i love:

wow! i'm sure you're wondering: sheesh,

how many times can this girl post about

gingham or plaid in one week?!

but this is seriously one of my

favorite dresses and i always

seem to get tons of compliments on it.

so i thought i'd share it with you today.

so something happened, from the time i first

wore this dress and now. i am pretty sure it has something to

do with shrinkage {not George's from Seinfeld to be clear}

but my patootie practically flashed out all the time in this thing.

i decided a quick fix was necessary, so i threw on my

favorite mid-calf length, dark grey sundress

{from tar-jey - French for target - didn't you know?} 

on underneath it and i must say that it looked really cute and quirky.

i love adding depth to an outfit just by adding some fun layers.

so andrew and i were out and about saturday night in wicker park.

it was drizzly and gloomy but i got to trade in clothes that i

no longer wear at two of the many traders and picked up

two wonderful designer dresses - so excited!

as we were going to eat at piece, i couldn't help

but gasp at asrai garden's {ahem, my favorite floral shop} windows:

they used the doily pendant diy that i pinned on pinterest!

i was so excited to see it in person since i have been meaning to

do it for so long now. i posted the how-to below in case

you would like to try - it seems relatively simple : )

oh, and do you love my new shoes?

i sure do! they remind me of the jelly vivienne westwood's -

except i like the bows way more than the hearts.

i am finally finished editing and painting this piece and now i am pretty sure that i am close to losing my eyesight

some of the color is finally done and with little time, energy and resources...phew! i think i definitely like the first one more.

so the mock up for jay heart montreal is finally complete after losing feeling in my thumb! but i love the way it looks. this weekend, i am going to saturate this puppy with color...can't wait!
