primitive abstract ceramic art :: by shino's world

i have been on the hunt for handmade ceramic tumblers for quite some time now. needless to say, i've scoured nearly all of etsy believe it or not. i was delighted to come across shino's world during one of my monotonous searches.

not only does the talented shino create lovely abstract ceramic bowls, mugs and a wide range of other items you might need while eating or drinking but the items that intrigued me the most seemed to be the primitive geometric necklaces that are hand painted. bits of geometry are strung from a simple silk cord.

it's sheer shape invites people to just look upon it and be intrigued by it's quirkiness.

i want one so bad.

primitive posts with splashes of color :: jewelry by kathi roussel

i am seriously in love with these funky, primitive, sculptural accessories by kathi roussel. all of the pieces have a beautiful handsome darkness with a shocking pop of color. they are absolutely gorgeous.

live from new york...it's my new collection!!

hello everyone!

so i know there has been some really awful radio silence for a bit here and i must apologize but as you can see from the jewelry above, i have been VERY busy!

i am that girl that dreams about weird alien creatures and gets excited about it. i am that girl that freaks out when she sees deco architecture. i am that girl who is in love with charles rennie mackintosh and gustav klimt. i am that girl that lives off of comic books and fantasy novels. above all, i am a bold woman - especially when it comes to fashion.

this new collection, reflects all of these parts of me.

all of the pieces were drawn out and then hand carved, by myself, from wax. then i had a talented local metal artist lost wax cast my pieces. these are the fruits of my labor. almost all of them will be available in my new big cartel shop by this weekend.

i would love to hear what you think!!

d e c o r a t e . y o u r . n a i l s : : b i r d . d e c a l s

i must say that i am still a bit skeptical of these - mainly because you can see where the image was cutout - but they are still very lovely nail decals by illustrator kate broughton. but the reviews of these were so great so i might have to buy some.

i especially love the new sewing series decals she just added to her etsy shop!
